(Rhythm & Blues)Taking as his motto Gaudí's statement: "Originality consists of returning to the origin", Mike Shannon (Florida, USA), uses his musical roots as a cornerstone, combining interpretations of classic R&B with his own material. His career thus far has taken him all over his native south-east, as well as Germany, France, Switzerland & Italy, sharing stages with the likes of Gregg Allman, Brian Setzer & Pinetop Perkins (the father of Boogie).
Mikes new CD "What you're looking for" was released in January 2008. His director friend, Freddy Lucas, was so taken by the song "Heart as Cold as Ice" that he insisted they make a video, using his considerable talent and creativity to film an excellent clip which is included on the CD.
